Re: New Inventors
I was surprised that he won given that the judges were all non-surfers. Obviously it's more than just "'only a surfer understands".

Re: New Inventors
i remember seeing the old inventors episode in which the 'parachute stuffed in your back pocket' leg rope substitute thingy was introduced to the world.
i couldn't believe it that one made it to the market.

Re: New Inventors
I watched that show and Hayden did a great job of being articulate and coming across as a genuine industrial designer/inventor. I couldn't help thinking the whole way through, "you think that looks good, wait 'till you see one Josh Dowling's alternative tech boards!".
I guess Hayden has the advantage of his tech being easily incorporated into any shapers skill/tool set, but JD's would have blown them away for sure.

Re: New Inventors
Great result. Its funny how the shows vary so much. He was a shoe in against grandpa who reinvented the wheel for his skis and that bike, bobsled waterskiing thingy that was attached by two handkerchiefs. I thought that one looked interesting until they showed it in action. Talk about pushing water Cut to Hayden ripping up some nice Indo faces on a true product design.
Kind of a shame the shows getting the axe. James O'Laughlin gives me the sh^ts as a presenter but we need inventions.
