A bit scared of this next swell
It's got "irrational decision making" written all over it.

Fuck I was thinking the same thing.
After my last near death experience at maxing Lennox, I'm a bit unsure how I'm going to react to this.
I've been experimenting with some mental training I learned from some brain plasticity stuff I read.
There won't be any disrespect thats for sure.
Been doing a lot of rockfishing as well, rehearsing my rock-off pathways under fire.

Re: A bit scared of this next swell
Yeah well I'm not scared.
It's got novelty break only written all over it, for me at least. I won't be venturing out into open ocean, but will surely be looking at it from the headlands.
hhmmm, just thought of a couple of novelty breaks worth checking out later this week, within close range.
But still expecting the weather to be foul.
Good luck gentlemen, but try not to put yourself into a situation where luck is required for your survival.

I know exactly where I'm going. The decision was thoroughly calculated and completely rational.
Dunno if I'll be able to say the same of the split-second, in-the-moment decisions that'll be required.
Fcuk, I'm nervous...ooh yeah.

dude at work says to someone next to him
"ooh there are going to be 4 metre waves today, would be a good day to stand on the cliff at bondi and watch"
"not a good day for rock fishing"

Yep, I know exactly where I'm going...downstairs to paint the shed.

Funny how these past few sizeable events have seemed to coincide with my Wed and Thurs night shifts.
I'll be sure to poke my nose around south head tonight and report back. Though by the look of it now, I suspect it'll be whitewater through to Camp Cove.

Re: A bit scared of this next swell
This swell is also freaking me out. I’ve been taking heaps of Xanax tabs because of it ....but I still have the shakes.
At any rate I’m gonna paddle out somewhere, get smashed, probably snap a board, scream at someone in or out of the water and sexually abuse myself afterwards.
At any rate it’s looking the goods. Been doing heaps of underwater swimming and chin ups.

Pretty wild old year for swell. I was glad I could get away to somewhere where I could surf myself stupid last week for a few days rather than get knocked senseless by a few bombs at Bronte. Enjoy it young fellas if you can.

I have my eye on a few novelty waves too. Might be lucky to share some waves with a ferry or two? Maybe throw an aqua at them or two?

I'm calling overcalled.
Re: A bit scared of this next swell
Well, despite both Syd and Botany ports being closed to shipping movements, and the offshore bouy reading 7m max, the ferries are still see-sawing back and forth to Manly.
We'll see what the morning brings.

I'm still not sure if I'm relieved or disappointed that I'm heading down to the snow tomorrow. 10-12' forecast on swellnet, wow.
