If you weren't there along with about 800 other bods at the Snap Off the Lip short surf film evening, Bondi Pavillion, you really missed a great night. 13 Entrants (I was one) plus Tim Bonython's new flik on Teahapu was a blast. Good comedy, great waves, especially the Maroubra boys in front of the rock at Gordon's Bay which won them 1st Prize probably due to audience response alone.
These guys are pretty near suicidal in their surfing and would include that description of some great lid action at Shark Island and Kurnell. Don't miss it next year. It'll be bigger and better.
