From a musical perspective, of course.

I foolishly bought some occy fins (I liked the colours), suspecting they would be too stiff and they are
what would you recommend with a bit more flex/skate?
fcuken hell you bought the Occy fins?

you must be fat.

I recommend the PG5 pure glass foiled fins from FCS, they're a deep transparent blue colour and they're the best fins on the market.
I was browsing the JS site the other day, and they list occy as 94kg. Is this for real nick?

Have you ever had a signature board? If not, what board would you like to liven as your legacy?
why yes. Yes I have.

Gordon and Smith had a Nick Carroll model for a while, from 1979 to late 1980. A round tail single fin. Then I quit G&S and went to surf for Hot Buttered.
Don't know why, having a board named after you seems very cool. I guess a custom with your name written along the stringer is a very minor way of achieving it.

Maybe after the 'my family' car sticker success, someone could create decals you can put on your own 'signature board'. The 'ctd premium signature' and all the other middle aged fatties who might be interested in my boards can admire and wonder if I used to be someone. Or just think 'never heard of that ctd guy, its probably a pop out'.

Ctd, that is the lamest idea I have ever heard of. Should make a squillion.

fcuken hell ctd, that's a real winner. I suggest you dash post-haste to your nearest purveyor of high quality yet safety designed boards for middle aged gentlemen and suggest a signature option.

I reckon those blokes at Bondi who attempt to replicate your fav boards via 3D imaging would do that if you asked them. The Davros Cylinder Slayer is born.

Nick you mentioned Kendrick Lamar as somewhat of a modern day rockstar poet. How does he compare to the late great Tupac Shakur?

well Kendrick doesn't have the runs on the board to match Tupac but I reckon that album "To Pimp A Butterfly" is better than anything Tupac did.

Nick, Slater's decision to ride that Webber - inspired decision undermined by worse than expected waves or stupid decision confirmed by heat loss to journeyman?

Bored decision by a surfer looking for inspiration and not really worrying about round one.
