Swell for Chopes

Post by shambles » Sat Aug 21, 2010 1:43 pm

Looking a bit slim for the Billabong comp. Anyone seeing anything that looks any good?

I don't how long it'd take for a low to form near enzed to pump some swell through to Chopes, but I'm going on the record as saying they're gonna get skunked.

Starts Monday. Chopes on Fuel should be good. Just need some swell.

There's already a long discussion here on the swell prospects for Chopes.

http://forum.realsurf.com/forum/viewtop ... 12&t=17906

Looking very average indeed, based on the GFS charts. EC has something pushing off the tip of NZ this time next week, so let's hope something comes from that. Could also be some long range SE swell from a low/high combo deep in the South Pacific around the same time.....what the feck is a high pressure system doing that far south this time of year!!!

Mark, it looks like they'll start it maybe Sunday afternoon (Tahiti time), if not then definitely Monday (Tahiti time). They'll probably at least try and run Rds 1 - 3 on Monday/Tuesday me thinks, saving the finals for Friday (Tahiti time).

Sounds pretty grim from what Steve's reporting.
I reckon forget the surfing.
Judge em by their iPod contents instead.

You see, Fluffy, access to the webcast and its associated videos is like musical chairs. At the moment it's like, you know, you don't have a chair. Your jacket isn't even on the back of a chair yet. You're chair-less. In fact you're jacket-less. You do not have a jacket. Nor a chair.

Because, you see, it's musical chairs.

Musical chairs.
