My local is excellent, _ive it 8 out of 10, up to 3 points to pick from when swell perfect and bi_. Uncrowded at decent size and powerful, and when not on there are plenty of places to travel too to find uncrowded surf.
no, Im not a surfer, Im just a garbage man".

Mine runs the full scale from 0 t 8s or 9s seasonal fickle.
As Dylan said "she breaks just like a woman".
has all the easy riding virtues ,but can turn just when you think you've got possession or understanding.
Moody Blues agree "cause she's not there"!
Sometime she's playful... "Girls just wanna have fun".
Describing the barrels....... "she'll adhese you then she'll squeeze you ...she's got Bette Davis eyes".
When she's flat it effects you thoroughly. "Don't it make my brown eye blue".

But when she's on "Walking back to happiness". :D
Jaffa, I'm opinionated, and I'm sometimes right. So?

burleigh...my local is a surfing crown jewel, heaps of tradition, old school rules ,slabs, kegs pits, drainers, walls, backdoors, bombs and the odd bluebird..you can ride any board, free bbq, free parking and you will always know someone in the water...rates in the nines.

the crowds..every type of surfable craft is always out there..every surf starts from a dodgie rock off..new boards destroyed, hammered quivers, low tide neck snappers mixed with legrope gagging rocks, new blowins dropping in on old blow ins,old locals, daybreak locals, top carpark locals, lunatic locals all getting worked by the super old/hot local..backpackers always on the bbq,no parking and you will get dropped in by someone you know....rates..two

Dis Hood : 1/10.

Full of hard-core angry tradesmen who love punching on, and old bitter locals who scowl and kick and scare baitballs away with their stinkeye.
Bad years where floods and bad sand give nothing but second and third rate go-outs.

Raided constantly by hordes of QLD'ers, pros mostly with massive entourages, who mop up every wave like a horde of locusts.

Suffers from constant pustulent nostalgia whereby it is constantly compared to the MOTE idyll.

Pestilent nor-easters can set in for months, rendering people insane and prone to prolonged drinking bouts.

The place is a shitehole.
Avoid it.
I want Nightclub Dwight dead in his grave I want the nice-nice up in blazes

If you walked over the road on the one hot summer's day a year when the bank is perfect, glassy 3' with the odd bazza and no one's cottoned on yet, you'd probably rate it an 8/10. If on the same day you got in the car and drove for 3 hours you'd find some real 8's, and then you'd rate it about a 4. Most surfable days are about a 2/10, making it one of the best breaks along this little strip.

DY Point - 3/10 because of kooks getting in the way and bailing their boards, completely not understanding that it's not a beachy.

I recon maroubra 8/10 its pretty consistantly good even in south swells whitch tend to close out the nth end.It handles a good 8' and once over 4'+ its never crowded especially in summer.

North Bondi 10/10

Why?

1. The only spot on the southside that can handle 20ft surf.

2. The grass area and rocks harbour the absolutely hottest chicks.

3. NBI - if you don't know what this stands for you haven't made it or are not in the loop or aren't even kool.

goodbye.

ps

4. best coffee in sydney. ;)

In response to jet01's comment1)I did rate my beach.2)I have lived 3 minnutes walk from the sand for over 40 years.3)I do have parking problems because half the GAY kooks that drive to the beach are selfish pricks that take more than their fair share of space and 4)I had hoped that the remark about GAYS would bring someone out of the closet (GAY BOY).
