This thread delivers! I just nearly fell off my seat on the train I was laughing so hard looking at this one

It looks like Roys lining up to take a back flip dive off the back of the Queen Mary!

All good Clif it was Coops@DY, thanks for your comment. As you say performance is relative to the goal.

Well, that depends on how much wood glue he inhales during the process.

My boards ARE longboards, I have been comparing them with 'mals' which are predominantly a noseriding type, to varying degrees.

That gross signature pic of yours . .. :(

That depends upon the board but well over 200 hours, sometimes closer to 300 including tea breaks.

There's no rush

What most people now do is work out an hourly rate but we don't do it that way.

Pretty much sums it up.

Especially the stirring part. He has an absolute feeding frenzy on his berley here.

I can't believe how much legs this thread has.

Well I am what I am, not really interested in stirring but can't help being myself which in this case means replying to all the comments and questions.

It's a dirty job but etc etc . . .

OK :!:
Now is the time to bring on the tea discussion. Pot,bag ( I hope not, you would lose all credibility), billy , green, black, oolong etc. Some of the ancient types of tea cost as much s Roy's boards kilo for kilo!
Went to your site Roy.
I think you've found your market with the side blogs of the rich yacht owners so you better learn to appreciate the finer teas.
BTW Black white sugar how does your taste run

Greetings Otway.

I prefer my tea without sugar, with cream not milk.

Usually we make tea in the billy on the open fire or the gas stove, occaionally with tea bags if they are organicaly grown and produced.

Then there's coffee. . . . expresso fine ground made in the billy, with cream no sugar.

I'll post a picture of the billy in a minute

I reckon this is a pretty nice pic. Roys style looks good. Looks pretty poised and balanced, nice trim. Can't be easy on a 12 ft plus lump of wood. Makes me want to go surfing.
Thankyou very much.

Actually once one has the knack that FP12 is a very easy board to ride, because it's ridden from the middle it feels a lot shorter than it is.

That picture is the inside section from this session:

Do you do the centrifugal overhead rotation with the full Billy? I use it as part of the Ocker Tea ceremony to share with Japanese visitors with as slight wash of a gum leaf through the mix.

Well my Grandpa Victor Wood was a true blue Aussie from Melbourne and did mention the overhead rotation but it's only a legend for us.

The gum leaf is a nice touch

Outta curiosity Roy ... If someone were genuinely serious about buying a board, and you say they are performance boards.

How long would you let them have a board to trial for?

No one would shell out half a mil for a board and not ride in all conditions first. Even though every instinct I have tells me you will never come close to selling one, and if you did wouldn't be for a tenth of what you're asking, and even then it would be to mount on a wall in some execs boardroom, not to ride.

But still, you could answer this question and give everyone a reason for another 13 pages of this thread.
