board blanks - high volume

Post by Squidlips » Fri Jul 23, 2010 1:23 pm

Hi,

Im after a high volume blank (wide and deep) to shape a new windsurf board. (cos I do this too)

An SUP blank may cut the mustard, but the plan shape I have planned is more like an over wide egg.

widest point will be 91cm
length 262 cm
depth approx 25 cm

can anyone advise if there are blanks available this big? The width and depth are the going to be the main issue.

does anyone know where i can get one and how much they might be?

thanks

as long as you're okay with gluing up and rocker, maybe try these guys?

do you actually mean a depth of 25cm? that's not a windsurf board, that's an aircraft carrier!

don't know how much experience/skill you have, but if you want to reshape an old (80s) windsurfer I can probably get you one to strip back.
assuming you're in sydney...

Give the girls at surfblanks a call. Very helpful. Midget may even answer.
