What colour and where are you? My son would kill for it but I don't think he would have the cash.

What size is the engine?
Is it fuel-injection or carburettor?

When I lived in the USA I had a 1975 Kombi 2L.It had a Bosch L-Jetronic fuel injection system. I think fuel injection was standard for that model in the USA and Canada. It had much better fuel consumption than the twin carb model.
ImageThis was it. It's a standard kombi with camper conversion done by Adventurewagen in Fort Bragg, California.
This is it in Baha:

from what i remember from my college days, the bosch jetronic series was an electronic carby. main advantage was the introduction of overrun cut off (when you release throttle pedal the carby cuts fuel to the engine) saved a bit in petrol.
even though it was marketed as fuel injection it still works on the principle of a carby (air and fuel mixed through the venturi and ito the manifold)

real fuel injection was developed (i think) around 1990 ish, and im talking normal cpu contolled multi injection as opposed to an electronic carby.

My kombi definitely didn't have a carby. It had an injector for each cylinder, connected to a 'fuel ring', which was connected to a return line to the fuel tank as well as the intake line. It had an analog electronic ECU.

eMpowered,

If you still have the Kombi I'm interested in her. Would you please call me on 9806 5657 or text me on 0414 980 658 with a number.

Cheers

Ron
