35 years of hangin' around, about 15 of them surfing on & off, depending on my location. Steadily for the last 10.

28 , first swim in the ocean at coogee with mum at 1 y/o
rode blow up surfaplane then rode a morey boogey 137 or 138, first surfed the point and island on a foamy bodyboard at 10 y/o
then hand me down single fin for a while untill 13-14 mixed with riding boogers, then mostly bodyboarded since.
so 18 years riding reefs mostly on a booger.

yeah mum and dad had a crack at it about 24 years ago.

2 years later mum took me into the beach for a swim

5 years after dad pushed me onto my first wall on a booger

3 years later dad bought me on a mal

2 years after that i ignored mum and dads advice and rode shorties

3 years after that i listened and have been longboarding since.

57. Had a 21 day period in the sixties where there wasn't a wave (my mate kept a surf diary to prove it). That was the longest drought back then. Looking at this crap by and large since last October I fear there will be a lost year in as far as grommets beginning are concerned. If it happende in '59, well, maybe I could have been a good golfer.

37 years young.
Used to enjoy the red/black surfmat as a microgrom (8 years old) especially when the front end folded in front of you. Then a booger until chest rash got the better of me, stand up since early teenage years learning on a 7'1'' Les Purcell single fin, so enjoying the waves for about 29 years.

Started on hired surf-o-planes at Kirra at about 9 or 10.
Mals from 15.
Still love the stoke of paddling out at first light, gentle ofshores, no crew and 3 to 6 foot swell. Here's hoping tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!
