Just scour surrounding clothes lines and front verandas.
That's where the real bargains are to be had.
Re: that wetsuit discussion...
I'm going to be buying a steamer for my 10 yo soon, and after more than a decade I need a new one too.
Haven't looked into this stuff for years.
Can anyone suggest good places to go in Sydney? Online isn't an option as I'll need to get my young bloke to try one one, and I'd prefer it too.
I think there are discount outlets around from time to time, or am I better off just going to somewhere like Long Reef Surf or maybe Wicks?

You aren’t the room Yuke You are just a wonky cafe table with a missing rubber pad on the end of one leg.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Thanks for the suggestion guys.
I had a look online at LR and they seemed to have a few at good prices too. Can't justify spending too much so it'll have to be pretty much the cheapest options available

Re: that wetsuit discussion...
Short sleeve or long sleeve steamer?
Re: that wetsuit discussion...
I'm yet to hear a compelling case for the short arm steamer.
Long arm springsuit on the other hand, is the correct winter choice for an SEQ surfer.

Incorrect assessment, peaches.
Short arms offer increased mobility for paddling, and long legs hold knees and hamstrings in place beautifully.
Re: that wetsuit discussion...
2mm short arm steamers are the bomb. They do me for most of sydney winter.

Yep. That said, I've never bought a SS.Legion wrote:Cold water, warm air, spring time.
Cold air, warm water for long arm spring, autumn time.
LS steamers on the out get the arms cut off.

Re: that wetsuit discussion...
Boo comes correct, as per usual.
problem in SEQLD/NENSW is wind chill not water temp.
long arm springy makes perfect sense.
I bought a Quiksilver Synchro 3/2 steamer off Torpedo7 last year for chilly winter mornings when apparent temp with wind chill is in the single digits.
worn it about 5/6 times....has to be the coldest steamer I've ever worn. Almost useless.
paid two hunge for it; false economy.

Harden up australia.
If you think it's cold in Queensland to where a long sleeve makes a difference. Well, Tasmania.

Don't be like that, please.

Back in the day guys like Larry used to build fires on the beach and wear woollen footy jumpers. He'll tell you all about it
