I got a new Hurley 3/3 again this year. Not the Japanese one this time. Cost $335.
Did you get that online? I'm in need of a new steamer...

New steamer every year for me, but unlike realsurf I actually surf.
I have of course considered the fact that I surfed bugger all last winter. It was cold and everything.
Plan to lift my game this year

I’m an M straight up in most suits except a Quik, who obviously make Ms for taller and weaker people than me.

The suit I want right now is a 3/2 zipperless Flash Bomb which I think is infinitely the best temperate water surfing wetsuit available. I wonder if Rip Curl will just give me one.

I think plugging it on realsurf like that will be more than worth it for them.

life is really too short to spend time making a monkey's butt out of yourself wrassling a zipper less wetsuit for the purely placebo effect on performance they offer.

Can I get an amen on that?

steve have you noticed how you basically can't get a high end wetsuit with a back zip any more? Forget all the other surf industry shenanigans that's the scandal that you should be writing about, the fact that if you want a back zip you have to put up with 95% non-stretch neoprene and shitlock seams

To tell the truth eggs are one thing I avoid buying when I’m grocery shopping. So you may say I’m an intermittent egg buyer who usually lets someone else buy them.

I hope you're right steve. Having followed blindly, parroting the party line on chest zips for a number of years I firmly believe that they are in fact significantly worse than back zips - a struggle (comparatively) to get on and off, no adjustment around the neck and any perceived benefit of a zipless paddle zone is outweighed by the mass of material and zipperage on your chest. I used to think they're warmer but they're not. As you say, a total fucken hoax introduced solely for the purposes of the surf industry's bottom line
