The Peak Flame. Horrible, horrible thing. Red and orange flames coming from the ankle (with zipper) and sleeves.

Quick also had up t0 60% off some of their wetties via their ebay store though I think it may be finished. Limited sizes.
Surfstitch had up to 70% off wetties via thier further 30% off promo last week. I got a top of the line Excel for 70% off RRP with free shipping. It was 40% off plus the further 30% off with promo code. Again sizes were limited and I think it has finished. Bargains to be had people if you shop around.

Surfstitch sale has been pretty good if you wait for the 'further % off'.
I got a great pair of duds for 80% off rrp. They were that good I got a second pair along with a wetty.
My experience with wettys of late is that the top of the line model is not always better or worth the extra $$$. Sometimes the next tier or two down is just as good and they often last longer.

Anyone know what the Oneill Hyperfreak Glide are like? Im looking at a wetsuit jacket for summer. They look ok online buthave not seen one in the flesh. It is flatlocked rather than sealed, though Im thinking this is fine for Sydney summer and Im thinking being flat locked it will last longer if anything. Been wearing a sealed jacket and it feels a bit too warm. Anyway anyone got one?

Can't help you Natho, but maybe you can help me

Can anyone knowingly compare a sizes between Rip Curl and ONeill wetties?

Also considering a triple x (Aussie made and owned). Anyone had one? If so, are the sizes comparable to RC? Quality?

I know the RC/O'neill comparison. What's your question?
Basically you go smaller in RC as it is more flexible. O'neill chest zips seem narrower across the shoulders, back zips are wider.
Legs in O'neill are a bit larger, RCs are for people with stick legs.

Think Shearer wears Triple X. I was put off by the unisex design. Last time I had a unisex design it felt like my balls were somewhere near my diaphragm.

Cheers, 'boo. I know what size RC fits well (I must have stick legs) and was wondering if the same size ONeill would fit well

Maybe I should try on an ONeill at my local rip-off merchant. Even though he's exy, he's a good guy and I'm a little uncomfortable in abusing him. The other voice tells me that over the years I have spent quite a bit in there so fcuk him

Occasionally drop in to one of the local surf shops. Big surfshops that is. Usually just checking what overpriced big name boards I'm not going to buy and think they have some justification in ignoring me. Then I think hey I actually bought one of these relatively expensive numbers a year ago and no one has ever bothered to ask how the f*cker went when I go in.

What are you in RC? You're probably the same unless you are a weird shape.
They've come together a lot in cut I think, they are all a lot more stretchy and don't lose their shape as quickly. e.g. I used to be a M in RC and a L or MT in O'Neill. Long torso, hence the balls-as-earrings issues.
I got an MT in O'neill online and it was a bit too long in the legs despite trying it on in a local shop first, probably could've just got an M, fortunately I've bulked up a bit so it is good now.

How's the f*cker go, Beany?

There's only one shop here. Nearest big shop is 2+ hours away in Torquay

LS in RC. Always M until a few years ago when intensive swimming put a bit of extra muscle around the lats and pecs. Most of it reduced now but I couldn't imagine being comfortable in a M

I do have stick legs so I reckon going LS in a back zip ONeill is a gamble. I'll have to abuse old mate, Herm. I'll sneak in when neither he or his wife are there. Then I'll buy some wax. My luck is they'll have no back zips at all

I have reverted to my old faithful which has been going fantastic.
The board I got was okay but really a compromise between what I wanted it for i.e. going to Bali and a board to use back here. Generally too corky for over there......and for here really. Ive gone right off the idea of short fat high volume boards. Had a fish that went well but I prefer a more lengthy surfcraft. Actually saw the board I should have got the other day. But really I could have saved my money and taken any one of three other boards that would have functioned just as well or better overall. All with hang ups however. The quest continues.

I'm thinking of buying a Derevko steamer. Its a seth efrican brand apparently made in the same factory as the big names. Seems to have decent features.

Selling on fleabay for $200 odd.

Anybody tried these/ feedback etc.????
