It arrived a couple of days ago but unfortunately the fit isn't quite right... Shame as the rubber was super soft and had a good overall feel to it

Has anybody tried the new quiksilver cypher fuseflex, the one toting to be "totally stitchless"?

Pricey suit at $650 but the marketing is intriguing...

pretty sure that a few of the top suits are stitchless, they just call it different things.
Xcel has Drylock Powerseam
O'neill has Fluid Seam Weld

figured we'd hear from you, robzig.. :)

I've got an xcel infiniti with the fusion weld stuff, I assume it is basically the same process?
The seams are shot, they lasted about a year. Pity, it was super warm before that.

So, they should be placing the silicon on the opposite side of the stitching?

The current Smorgasboarder has a feature on 3 brands not, or maybe scantly refered to here- Zee, C-Skins and Triple X.
All locally made. Certainly by the pitch of each manufacturer they'd satisfy all the requirements of good suit.
Any opinions about these?

So far though I'd go a Buel judging from most of the comments so far.
( But with chopper and medivac bills coming, reckon I'll stick with my current suit for his season.)

So what IS the technique for getting a chest zip off? I can get mine on fine but getting it off? - I feel like a failed contortionist. Tips? I'd frankly been thinking the chest zips are just more trouble than they're worth, but maybe I'm doing it wrong.

I found this when I was trawling the web in search of different wetsuits.

http://www.seventhwave.co.nz/How+To+Videos.html

They Kiwis so maybe "zipless" is their version of chest zip. Anyway this gives you a pretty fair idea of technique and hey he uses plastic bags ..... I'm no kiwi but been doing the same thing for years.

Might be helpful.

I've got an interesting story about my attempts to get a buell wetsuit.

I'll wait till it gets here before I give you whole dope. Suffice to say that the suit has travelled more in the last 3 weeks than I have in the last decade. :?

Ah well, hopefully all's well that ends well. Just one of those karmic disasters so far.

if anyone is inflexible in the shoulders it's me.. but after owning a couple of chest zips I wouldn't go back .. they are way warmer and you don't get that nasty trickle down your back when you first paddle out .. first couple of wears an the require a bit of a straight jacket wobble but they loosen up and are easy on and off after a couple of wears.. incidentally it's my chestzips that smell after I piss in them because they don't flush out .. worth it to me

Trying to get a response from these guys is like trying to get a dollar out of Gina Rinehart. I'll keep trying because I'm pretty interested to try the product, but Christ, could they do with a bit of kick up the jacksy customer service-wise.

Buell, if you're reading, you owe me an email.

Triple X are solid.

I always buy their 1.5m jackets and they are a top product.

Mandatory for North Coast autumns and Indo.

I picked up an Excel Infiniti X Zip for $252 delivered to the door from Kingofwatersports- wanted to give another manufacturer a go as i was let down by my last Oneill- so far so good, great fit and warmth and the chest zip really does give greater freedom of movement.
