Southy on its day is the best in Sydney.
Not sure about any other places. D-Bah would be up there. Gas Bay in Wa. But who would travel the country finding beachies? Australia is about its reefs.

Oh for crying out loud ... give me a fcuk'n break ... and I mean a decent fcuk'n break.
And as for you Nicholas ... go to your room this instant ... there'll be no supper for you t'night.

Re: Australia's top ten surf beaches
Works for me
One mythological break that doesnt exist anymore. How often I remember running along the sands of Kirra
Tama which is sketchy as for a number of reasons mentioned here.
Narra which is as unfriendly a surf spot for learners as youd wish.
Lennox ditto for different reasons.
Byron Bay-fine to direct them there apart from the one or two days a year I might pop in for a surf myself.
WA-too far away but allready full of poms.

nay ngo, there is a purpose ... and that is to demonstrate in some tiny fashion just how splendidly the sport is being explained to the numerous European surf tourists currently queuing up to visit these sacred shores.nuffink ngo wrote:A thread with no purpose

They'll just be paddling out to check out the great reef that was described so attractively in the article right?Nick Carroll wrote:
