Stewart Wins at Pipe again.... without a board

Post by Kunji » Fri Feb 26, 2010 12:42 pm

Mike Stewart has taken out yet another title this time in the 2010 bodysurfing contest at Pipeline.
Just another feather in this waterman's cap it seems. Mike is now preparing to compete tomorrow in the bodyboarding contest at the same venue, lets see how
he does with forty one and a half inches of foam under him?
There is cool clip of Mike dominating Pipe in both forms.

The Runner up to Mike was Mark Cunningham, who I have always looked up to for his water skills, recently retired from lifeguarding Pipeline. Mark's nickname is actually "Kaku" the Hawaiian name for Barracuda. This Clip shows peoples respect for Mark.

there's some good footage of mark cunningham and stewart bodysurfing pipeline in, i think, 'sprout'.
always impressed by how people can get a line and trim without a board.

Thats awesome!

I love bodysurfing. I like being able to feel the forces of the wave...Good for the lungs too, hard work.

yep, the prone part of realsurf has put up with so much crap over the years.
nipping this one in the bud, there was no need for it.
