Careful guys, if you keep on trashing their surf and comparing it adversely to ours they will want to come over here to surf and crowd our lineups even more

I thought they were really nice waves, better than Collaroy and Clovelley on most days :D

The universally acknowleged level of British commitment to sporting excellence extends to surfing, I see. Where's the wobbegongs when you need 'em.

Yeah I must admit for highlights I'm torn between the loafer and kite footage. Loafer? Kite? Loafer? Kite? Loafer? Kite? Hmmmm... Loafer! :D

Even the longboarders couldn't do a turn on those fat, slow, dreary looking waves. Worth surfing at the temperature that water must be?? I think not...

It was pretty bad .... but the waters cold and the air is colder , and thats all they got to work with (best in months no doubt) . Same stoke as some Cali ho-dads fooling around at San Onofre in the 50's and sixties ? .... I reckon .

Ok , the loafers are fcukn unforgiveable .....

Your opinion is worth as much as it costs.

You wouldn't believe how popular surfing is in Blightly. Got a mate living there and he's astounded. Went to a beach with waves worse than that video and counted 120-odd out. Went to another nearby place cause he was desperate and there were about 80 out. And it was air temp 13C, water temp less. All ages, lots of girls/women. Huge number of drop-ins and from what he watched, little idea of "the rules".
Couple of the broadsheet newspapers run more surfing stories than any paper in Oz. It is uber cool there. An "adventure sport".
