Re: Skin Cancer
I was thinking when Rockin Ron and his cronies come up for the Poetry Slam we could throw the hat around, maybe mortgage a couple of Sydney houses and then hire Daevid Allen on a day rate to come down and write an Epic Poem about it.
Seriously though I would love to paddle that thing into some ten foot surf at the Point.

World's most famous surfboard
Sounds like expensive poetry, his people should contact my people. . . .steve shearer wrote:I was thinking when Rockin Ron and his cronies come up for the Poetry Slam we could throw the hat around, maybe mortgage a couple of Sydney houses and then hire Daevid Allen on a day rate to come down and write an Epic Poem about it.

In ten foot surf ( presume you mean 20 foot faces ) the FP12 feels like a twangy shortboard only better. . . perfectly balanced and with an incredibly secure riding position as well as the ability to turn anywhere, it's a pocket rocket and can be ridden with the eyes shut once one's clicked with it.

Future Primitive 12 foot surfboard
One shot wonders are a waste of time, any new design needs to be dialled in to and this one is no exception.
Leashes are possible ( the board only weighs 25 pounds ) but are not ideal for the leg stretching reason.
Once dialled in falling off is almost entirely avoidable.

Re: Skin Cancer
This kind of stuff.....
It's not really hollow but it's steep.
This was on a Brewer 9 ft Sunset gun.
Would love to sit behind the peak and spear a few on a 12 footer.

The most expensive surfboards in the world...
Ideal !
What a wonderful wave. I've seen some pictures of it hollowish, how close are the rocks ?
On the FP 12 you'd fhave about the same amount of nose out in front of you as on the 9ft Brewer, but instead you'd have a long displacement tail swooping up behind you. . . it feels good very positive yet soft in response and obedient at speed and in tight spots.

You aren’t the room Yuke You are just a wonky cafe table with a missing rubber pad on the end of one leg.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Re: Skin Cancer
depends on how big it is.
At that size, at least a hundred meters away.
Getting off the rocks and out there would be the challenge.
But on massive S swells it would be fun to launch a few K's south and cross-country surf up to the Point.
But yeah, no wipeouts allowed, otherwise big swim and probably no board left.
I reckon it'd be great fun.

Re: Skin Cancer
I thought I might attach it to the end of my knob.
At least there might be a benefit to having something stretched.
But I've got McCoys with soft rails all the way round.
They work fine in big waves.
Edge gives release, more than hold.

Actually Roy said that Randy kooked it, because he did.Toby wrote:
Roy then proceeded to call him out as a kook.
Roy later upgraded that to "He IS a F*cking kook "

You are so far from the truth that you wouldn't see it with the Hubble telescope.woolly wrote:
I doubt the capability of the board. Check the rail of the primitive12. I think Lennox would be too steep for this board to hold the tail. Regardless of the large timber fin, I think you'd be going sideways. Depends upon your entry speed, and what the wave was doing up ahead...
A fully laid over rail turn would ensure a nice face plant, ...sorry, you're goofy, so a nice enema, and have you skipping like a stone.
I've had standup backdoor barrels on that board and it handles PERFECTLY.
It can take extremely late drops, while angling and weaving through high lines almost beyond what the rider's mind can comprehend. Soft rails, a displacement tail and the big spitfire fin blow all other longboards out of the water when it starts getting steep.
Take another look at the Future, this one hangs with the shortboards:

If I end up with skin cancer, I'm blaming you lot........ (Athough Roy does seem to have some amazing talent).
Hey Roy, Have you ever hung out with Tom Wegener from Noosa. He makes nice Alaia's and Olo's.
So zinc hey...........

Hi eMpowered,
Shall I hire a lawyer ?
I've spoken to Tom on the phone and corresponded with him a few times, which was cool. Hanging out with him would be great maybe something to look forward to in future. I've given up beer though but can make good coffee.

Dammit fongles,, You gotta put Abbot in those Speedos.....
Roy, Tom loves a beer now and then, but is passionate about a timber board....
Did you know he is/was the only person to go over the ropes at the Hawaii Surf Museum and actually measure those old and first boards.......
He is a great guy to (Even though the poor bugger is a full yank)...
I dunno about your prices mate, But who can put a price on art except the buyer......
Any area of art is strange in my mind (Price wise), But those who want will pay, And if this is the case with your art/riders, Good for you, If I had the money, I would buy a wall hanger.......Maybe I would ride it at least once.......
