Great news

Post by Chillin » Thu Dec 24, 2009 5:52 pm

For those of you heading up the Pacific Hwy these hols, the Kew bypass is open! No longer will you have to stop at traffic lights in the middle of a 500m 60km zone in the middle of nowhere.
Your opinion is worth as much as it costs.

that set of lights was a weird town, i have gone through there on cruise control heaps of times and gone, oh sh!t was i supposed to slow down back there?

on another note, for those of us going north or south coast this weekend, and haven't booked a camping spot.. do you reckon there will be a few empty spaces after the rain?
I heard every non feral camping spot from nowra to Moruya is booked out.

You have been very lucky, esp. if heading south.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

So another small town to die? I dont know excatly where this is but when they did the bypass in brunswick head it killed alot of business for the locals. Especially that first servo that used to on the left as u head north thru bruns.

Now we just have to put up with Macksville, Kempsey, Fredrickton and Ballina.
Faaark.

Took me 11 hours to get from Newie back to the Gold Coast on Saturday.

That's criminal! It's an 8 and a half hour trip.

Bypass these backwaters!

(NB - am aware Ballina is being bypassed! No longer forced to take the Teven road shortcut, yeeow!)

Reminds me of the time I rode an XS1100 Yamaha from Newy to West end in Brissy back in the 70's in 81/2 hrs on the old Pacific HWY, including the Bulhadela windy section (fun!) Mind you it was late at night. At one stage near Grafton i was flat chat doing about 200kmh and i was overtaken by V12 XJS Jaguar, he was friggin flying and went past me like I was standing still.
