That'd have to be the biggest wave ridden in the conny wouldn't it?

and one of the biggest ever successfully paddled into at the Bay.

Same here BD. That one makes it for me.

Great commitment, so steep.

What I really like about it is the symmetry and virtually perfect form of both surfers, balance over board, staying with it, trying to keep a rail in the face, eyes on the prize.

I think the inside guy didn't quite make it, he is so deep though.

That is the type of water shot that really gives you an idea of what is going on. :shock:

yes, can't tell you how thrilled I was, a coupla waves into the session, there's 15-20 of the best big wave chargers in the world out, all happy, laughing, stoked in this mental lineup, 25-foot sets every 20 minutes, and I pull out the camera, and it's got water up to the eyeballs.

it cut me up so badly, I just abandoned the whole idea for a few days. but bought a new camera now so if there's a day worth Yakking I'll deploy it.

cheers Nick, yeah damn tho thats exactly the out the back chat I was waiting for, waimea. nevermind, thanks for trying, hehe and can understand somewhat that it didnt eventuate.

Just watched another highlight vid on surfline.com of the eddie http://www.surfline.com/video/contests/ ... imea_39381 and fcuk me there was some heavy heavy heavy wipeouts that day and yet everybody soldiered on...awesome....legends.
