Surfboard Event ???
Am considering holding a surfboard show where all shapers can come and display there weird and wonderful boards, would be held on the North Coast of NSW and would most likely be around Easter time, no dates or venue confirmed yet but seeing if there would be much interest at this stage. It would be held on a headland or park area right by the waves so boards can be borrowed and surfed, it would be set up like a large market with each shaper setting up his own tent and displaying his designs, there will be swapping, selling, sharing, trading of all sorts of craft ( depending on council regulations which I have not researched as yet but it is in the works atm )...bit like the fish-fry I guess but with no limitations to only 1 style of board..Surfers wil be encouraged to ride different shapes and experience many different shapers designs...I hope to have some tents set up by different fin companies so fins will be available for trial also.....I would be interested to see how many would travel to such a day, possibly make it a weekend...
Re: Surfboard Event ???
Great idea Mark, I'd probably make the trip up from Vic for the weekend.
Just depends on what I'm doing about Bells if it's around Easter.

I'd come down.
Easter might not be the best weekend to do it.
Good Friday is April 2.
A couple of weekends after that might be OK, school hols, though.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

I reckon the timing is not good being around Easter.
Especially with school holidays
Pretty slim chance I could make it then, if it was on another date I could be half a chance, a couple of my mates would be interested, if I can sell it to Mrs Hatchman as a boy's road trip it could work.

I like the idea of a road trip although it might cost me a trip for the wife somewhere.Hatchman wrote:I reckon the timing is not good being around Easter.

Al this is gold. "She didn't realise I was fairly high and spent much of the evening trying to figure out why a purple and orange cow wanted me to climb a tree."

Looking forward to this event you speak of Mark.
I still haven't been on my northern road trip yet and that would be a great event to plan my trip around
