Mark,
I'm keen again, I have moved up close to Newcastle now so should solve the hassles we had with the Fattie. Let me know and I'm good to go. There was someone on here when the fat bat has doing the rounds of newie who was keen to take pics...squid or something??
Should be able to get it down to Sydney again also. Hook it up!!!
Cheers Ben

Hey Markie, some quotes from godfather for the project:

In Sicily, women are more dangerous than shotguns.

Te salut, Don Corleone.

It's a Sicilian message. It means Luca Brasi sleeps with the fishes.

I don't like violence, Tom. I'm a businessman; blood is a big expense.

You touch my sister again, I'll kill you.

or my favourite....

Leave the gun. Take the cannoli.

Hey Ben, good to hear from you, been a while...Glad you wanna be involved again...
I am thinking it will be on the Sunny Coast for 1-2 months then head south as the Fattie did, depends on interest but hope to have it in Sydney by November ish...

Some good 'quad' isms there but think might just keep it simple ...just "The Quadfather Project"... spraying the board this evening but still bit undecided..... :?: 8)

Pretty sure it will have standard fins the same as I sell them with but I might try a set of Butterflies when I ride it...and if it goes well, then I just might include them as a option to try....

some good 'Godfather' quotes there...have to include some of it somehow ??? 8)

Thanks Iggy. I am trying to keep them fairly sleek and shortboard ish looking but at the same time having a little extra area to reap the benefits such as stability, paddle power and speed from the additional planing area...In the QF I'm discreetly keeping a bit of extra volume, area and reducing rocker, just subtly modifying all areas to make it an easy board to ride ( easier than typical perf shorty that is...) while not making it appear radically different and alternative so we end up with a nice looking, very functional, fun, fast and manouverable surfboard that can be enjoyed by surfers of nearly all levels....I'm happy with this one and it should suit a wide range of surfers as you mentioned...should float guys up to around the 90 kg's comfortably ( possibly a bit more..)...

think it might end up bright green...considered pink but just couldnt do it in the end... 8)

appeciate the offer Salts but will have to see how many crew are keen to give it a test ride...there's about 5 or 6 up the Sunny Coast so Sep might be too soon but lets play it by ear...we can always catch up for a surf or 2 anyway...I always have a few board to try if you call into the shop.... 8)

just spoke to my glasser and he assures me the QF will be ready to roll for this weekend....so it will be surfed on the 30th at the board testing day on the Sunny Coast....if there's any waves...there is very strong NW winds predicted and 35 degrees.... :)
