Re: Quadfather Project Board....
I would say just get one...but get one from a shaper who makes alot of them ( dont mean me either ) coz they arent just thrusters with an extra fin....I have 6 boards ATM and only 1 is a thruster, and I can make myself whatever I want so that'll tell you what I think of them....each to their own but definitely worth trying a few quads IMHO...
Re: Quadfather Project Board....
If you want to experience the speed of a quad without the hang ups that often go with them, check out Haydenshapes Joi Stick quad.
Hayden has got his set up wired where the set up surfs and pivots very close to a thruster, but with the added speed and hold of a quad. A good place to start if you are a bit sceptical about venturing into quad world. While not a big fan of many quads in general myself, I love my HS Joi Stick.
Does depend on your level of surfing though as Hayden's boards are aimed more at performance based surfing.

Re: Quadfather Project Board....
yeah, try a Hayden for sure, he is great shaper and I like his eagerness to push the boundaries too....
if Natho likes them, they must be good coz he has been anti-quad for a while, so the Joistick must be a ripper.....anyway, I reckon you should try one, borrow a demo board or something, doesnt matter who made it, just try and enjoy...all the best mate...

Mark, are you up at Coolly yet? If so, we should catch up sooner rather than later to discuss my QF.....doesn't look like we'll get much surfing in unfortunately.
