They seem to be local people not westerners hit, could it be a certain person/politician targeted? or what?

Could be a reaction to SBY (the moderate incumbent) being a certainty to win the Presidential election.

Excellent timing since they just let a whole lot of the pricks out of gaol
I think theyre spewing because democracy is actually going places in Indo and theyre losing support. I reckon it would be a lot harder for them to pull something in Bali this time around but I guess they can organise some lunatics to blow themselves up anywhere. I expect good old Bakkar Bashir will be getting a few visits from the govt forces in the next few days. Funny to think he has spoken at the Dee Why Mosque. I'm sure the local moslem population wont be inviting him back for a return visit real soon.

Its interesting reading about that guy.
Is he currently in jakarta again?
I think its time someone started up an "Anti terrorist" -terrorist/vigilante group.
You know as in assasinating well known terrorists...Thing is most sane people have a heart and are not brain washed and would never think of doing such things.

I suspect it will come to this, guard, if any form of democratic, freedom of speech (and thought) type society is to survive. I sometimes wonder how far they can push it before "normal" humans feel that "offence" is the best form of defence.
Sort of like "do unto others, before they do it to you"
Not advocating it, personally but I do despair for the future of the world at times.
