Venting
Well this winter on the Vicco SurfCoast has been absolutely fcuked. Very few swell pulses and rarely coinciding with offshores.
This is the view of 13th this morning:
"Yeah its flatter than a Michael Jackson fan with tickets to the last time concert..." ~~ Ross Rasta
At least if we had howling onshores there would be something to ride. I think I'm actually getting depressed by it all. I've done some work on the house, fixed up an old fish that was busted, but I still find myself checking the webcams for something... anything...
What should I do? Move? Take up golf?

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

It feels like summer this winter so far... Small swells and nor easterlies...

But it shouldn't suck! There should be a 2-3 ft swell with consistent NE winds.

Head up to that big roundabout at Mt Duneed and turn left. Drive for two and a half hours. There were fun, part sheltered 3' waves to be had yesterday, zero crowds or bogans.

Yeah, Hey Chin...
Its been good in a sense:- At least I can't blame my demanding Missus for my missing surfs, so my marriage gets better.
And crew have been pleasantly surprised to get their new boards in half the time! (Apparrently they still actually get to use them up north...)
Definately don't go as far as getting into Golf. I've also been swimming laps at the local pool, for some paddle fitness. That rocks for when the swell comes.

Another fcucked day on the -coast (notice missing 'Surf')
Done some gardening... walked the dogs... drank 8 beers and some wine.... had dinner.
It's fcuked! Looking at surf forecast and expecting some swell on thursday but will coincide with onshores.
Checked out your website Mr Speedie.. where you based? Got some nice sticks there. I like a bit of wood. Not to ride ofcourse but just to admire. Wood--->FibreGlass--->CarbonFibre--->Goatskin? What's next??
Bah, this is fcuked. I'm moving back to Perth.

move to Phillip Island instead then..
chunky beach breaks and grinding reefs, yuppies and inbreds, sharks, golf, grand prix, malibu surfing at cat bay, so much to offer..
There's more bogans on "bloke Island" than on the Mornington peninsula!

I've got some waves in the last couple of days so it's all OK again.
Sorry for the bogan/mornington comment. I was upset.
And coming from someone living in Geelong...

Hey Chin,
The Bogan comments are excusable considering theres at least a basis in fact. Just ask Wingy!

Re: Venting
I thought the Bogans on the peninsular comment was a bit rich!
13th has been fickle all season, but Ive had a few good sessions at Posso's, Torqs and Eastern View.
Where you normally surf chin?

Re: Venting
I like to think I keep my end of the bogan deal up for the Mornington Peninsula.
But yeah it hasn't been the best this winter. In fact I can't recall a winter in recent memory where I've surfed at Gunnamatta as much as this year, even when there has been swell there has been so much west in it you haven't got a hope of it bending around into Westernport or Flinders.
This weekend isn't looking too bad though, provided you live on the Mornington Peninsula

Re: Venting
Just got back from Sign-post. Was not bad either! I'm normally there or Beacon or Posso's (outers) if the west is up. Are there many other 'RealSurfers' from the surfcoast on these forums?

Ringmaster is over that way
