Re: Seamless Wetsuits ?
technically, if someone had the money to produce a solid mould so you could just inject the whole wetsuit into its finished shape, which would be way too expensive and not very durable (they'd need a mould for every size) and how would u get in? all zips need seems, Neil Pryde did a zipless entry steamer but the entry point still had seam reinforcing.

I don't know if they do, but let's see if we can get this thread to 10 pages.
Re: Seamless Wetsuits ?
just spray yourself with liquid neoprene before every surf, and cut yourself out afterwards.

Re: Seamless Wetsuits ?
they don't rinse them and dry them ... I've had rips and tears from hitting rocks or being hit by fins but not from falling apart ... I easily get 2 -3 years out of my wetties and surf almost everyday that there are waves ... I always rinse them out in fresh water and hang them to dry ... obviously not everyone can do that all the time but if you can it will help them last , keep the shape and stay soft so easier to paddle in ...dinosaur wrote:I dont know why people have all the problems with wetsuits. Ive never had one fall apart before I'd completely worn it out. .
now has anyone got a nasty stain they need advice on ...

Re: Seamless Wetsuits ?
My current one ive had for 3 or 4 winters .. cant remember :?
I pretty much stand under a shower when ever im surfing somewhere that has one for 20 seconds, do i lil turn, while i still have it on and thats it. Mainly just to get sand off it. Ive kept it outside for long periods to dry, forgetting about it and then letting it get destroyed by rain / then dry in the harsh sun. Ive stomped on it after a surf to get past my heal and ive generally treated it like shit. Still lasted ages and only cost $100. If its made well it will last, if its made shitty it wont. Period.

Re: Seamless Wetsuits ?
shit rubber lasts longer, thats how ppl still have wetties from the 80's- and that's because they didnt stretch. new top of the range suits only last 1-2 years before they start to seriously degrade. gbs seams get pinholes by ~50 surfs and taped ~150.
In regards to current wetsuit designs, 120% being the max stretch, is not limited by the neoprene, there are chloroprene's that can stretch up to 300% easily. They are limited by the durability and ppl bitching about their suits not lasting a decade.
i pmd you revo, anyone else ?
