best Aussie songs?

Post by baldric » Sat Jun 26, 2004 3:29 pm

just cruisin' round the web and came across some poll the music industry did a coupla years ago about the best Aussie songs of all time...
Here's what they voted the top 10:
1. Friday on My Mind - The Easybeats
2. Eagle Rock - Daddy Cool
3. Beds are Burning - Midnight Oil
4. Down Under - Men at Work
5. Pub With No Beer - Slim Dusty
6. The Loved One - The Loved Ones
7. Don't Dream It's Over - Crowded House
8. Khe Sanh - Cold Chisel
9. It's A Long Way To The Top - AC/DC
10.Quasimodo's Dream - The Reels

So did they get it right?
What songs did they miss and what would your top 10 Australian songs be?

Not forgetting Tamam Shud and Tully (maybe seahag had too many blotters in dem daze)
Wangaratta Wahine - Captain Matchbox
