Im abit late in this thread but I lived at coolum for about 3 years and it was one of the best places Ive ever lived. It was in the late 90's so its probably not the sleepy town it once. Pretty much smack bang between noosa and March. Can get some sweet banks on the beaches between Noosa and coolum somedays with no one around too.

Funny, an old mate of mine moved up there from the Tweed Coast cause his missus wanted to. Brisbane girl. Ended up spending a long time up there but divorced and stopped surfing- just an alcoholic fisherman
I think he ended up moving back home and still doesn't surf.
Meanwhile I still rock up to bump heads in Sydney.
Where ever you go its what you do that counts. Remember whats good for a holiday may not be good for life.
