that Parko barrel was a case of perfect spot at the perfect time amongst all that water moving around ... but at the same time that was a flawless take off and perfectly ridden ...

And he drank his celebratory Corona without a slice of lemon in it.

The really impressive and satisfying thing for Parko fans was the emphatic nature of the victory...after pretty shady performances in rd 4 and quarters he dominated the lineup on a day the average surfer would be lucky to even get to their feet.
Finally, a performance which does justice to Parko's potential.

The smoothest carving throughout the comp, and howz that phenomenal late drop under the curtain in the final. I hope he rips Bells apart.

yeah steve i agrree. was thinking tomyself whole way through quarters semis finals!!!!! id have troublre just finding something to ride in thosw conditions, let alone a 10 point ride.

Yeah Parko much deserved win. Adriano ripped as well though.

Would love to see Parko win a WCT Title. He said it himself on the podeum. "This year I'm training, Usually I just surf". Look at what Mick did when he trained seriously. Joel makes everything look easy, So smooth. (O.k, Let's not get into the Curren thing). But a much deserved champion me thinks.

I think it's his turn.
