aarrgghhhhhh Don, I can't post images!

This keeps popping up when I try to submit image tags:

It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image.

The originals were maybe a little large, but I edited the image sizes to max 350px wide/high and it didn't help.

Because Don, like, they're really important images too...you know...

:)

Dunno, maybe more of Don's foray into website makeovers is taking too many hits to retain quickfixes as a viable option. Don needs to throw around a carton or two for a Supernerd to save the day with a week of Jolt Cola fueled debugging.

Test #1 by Don...
450px.sample_9640.jpg
This shot of Natural Bridges in Santa Cruz (mid-Jan 09) is 450 pixels wide.
The above picture should appear ... if I have the settings right...

Don: I tried to resize the pics to 450 x 300px but it gave the same error message. Also the existing pics at 750px are chopped off.

sorry to annoy you all with the changes, but the previous forum script had become way too vulnerable to hackers and spammers. I had to change it. I will do my best to work through the issues you're having.

I was able to upload a picture of under 90kb and the correct size from my computer without any problems, so at this stage I don't have a quick answer to your difficulties.

It would help me fix things faster if you could email me the following:
*the actual picture you tried to upload but couldn't
*your browser and its version
*your operating system

send emails to: realsurf.admin[at]gmail.com

I will then try to duplicate what you did to see if I can figure out the issue. Please bear in mind that I am trying to solve these problems as quickly as I can.

Thanks for your patience.

Don,
I've posted a few pics under the new system now.
I think it's OK.
It avoids the double handling of uploading to photobucket etc and now I've worked out the sequence I'm happy.
And it fixes the issue with cut off photos.
