What time were you out ER?. I watched for 30 mins or so at 8-8.30. Was smoking for sure. Saw one of the best barrels from way behind the keyhole - a guy on his backhand ...so deep. Classic morning and only 3 surf schools with 50 odd red shirted leaners in the shallows. Yesterday was good ...but not as good as today

9-12 and got a parking ticket to boot

Shit eh ...yeah even mid week its almost impossible to jag a park - gotta stalk or get lucky. Worth it tho on a day like today

Plenty of swell at Bondi this arvo.....that situation where the whitewater washes up over the slope of the shoreline and then cascades across the sand covering towels and slow movers.
One goose on a softie tried paddling out and got washed sideways up the beach. A few out right near Ben Buckler.

Quite a few dodging sets at Bronte. Pool closed.

i went expecting to surf the back beach but the point was still cranking out near double overhead sets, minimal crowd, no sweep and bit onshore.
fuck so fun.
rode my little Moon 5'10 wafer thin thruster out there and had a ball

he wasn't there today. the crowd situation was actually delightful. Most people not wanting a bar of the deep sets.
some beef to the swell no doubt.

That swell is heavy up here too. At high tide - 5am it was manageable. Then about an hour later it pulsed like crazy.
Constant double overhead sets breaking wide.
Got seriously hammered.

I have to admit there was a moment as I looked up at this massive wall about to fall on me that I thought about it.

Sad news about the body boarder.

Last night in Sydney pulsed really hard, longer period that what was forecast. Looked at Bower, looked the goods but seriously packed out, more surfers than waves, had a crack at North Steyne, got a couple between the closeouts then got flogged on one and pulled the pin.

Surfed North Styne as well. Bit straight as you say.

Couple of horror stories on the news including the poor fella who snapped his neck.

There's a fleet of search and rescue helicopters, jetskis and cops buzzing around Turimetta this arvo. Apparently a floating body was reported but after 2 hours nothing has been found.
