surfed Newy pool on sat morning for the first time in ages. After several mouth fulls of poo during the session I am left feeling rather crook.

I was all ready for a tilt at Longy Bommie on Sun morning but it was all messed up (surely not just wind, swell dir must have played a part too). Ended up joining the throng at messy, junky Collaroy in the NEster. Better than going home without a surf I guess.

C'mon Natho. A mouthful of poo never really hurt anyone before.

It looked good when I was flying in yesterday morning.. I thought that the Northern end would be good too in that swell/wind combo.. It wasn't..

I nearly drove down there, but a mate said heaps of crew there the day before and it was slamming pretty straight.

my mate was there in the morning and said it was twice as big, but by the arvo the swell was well and truly not southerly.
it was shit though.

only coupla boogie-ing kids on the novelty wedge.

I'm only referring to the one place, the wedge.
dunno but last few times I've checked the kingy backbeach it's been a heavy straight shoredump, especially on a south swell. good place to snap a few boards.

Yeah it's a great place under 2-3 foot, over that she just straighthands into the shallow storm bar.

I've only surfed it small, ie flat everywhere else. When it's got peaks, it's really fun.

Must say the Tweed coast is not backbeach heaven.
Maybe in a big northerly or even easterly swell.
Of course if you don't mind a rock bottom you have much better options

I can think of many places other than there that produce the goods far better.

Gold Coast, around 2m waves yesterday and 1.5m waves today, when the report and forecast said "1ft gutless, take the biggest board you have if you are desperate..."

Yesterday was the best surf I've had in quite a while, so much better than watching pipeline.

Even got the best peak to myself for 30min before Fanning won the title and the rest of the crew managed to get away from the screen.

Haha, went last Bombo this morning, micro waves with some people out. Actually got waves on Monday at my usual spot. Obviously not that big but surf able and fun. Got up for the early the next day and it was gone gone gone!. Think I did something to my knee as well. These times are when my new JD will restore some kind of sanity. How's your newy??

Had the funnest couple of little surfs at Bondi yesterday. Just non stop waves with a couple of sweet little banks. Crowded as f^ck but good times. Followed by a few cool ones at the Icebergs

Crap today though.

Good waves on Monday and Tuesday but crappy on Wednesday and not there today. Good, my shoulder is pretty sore from paddling and needs a rest.
