Finally gelling with my current shorty.
It’s a bit more in the style of what I was surfing 10-15 years ago. Likes some punch.

I was surfing when a school of tailor started harassing bait in front of me.

this little anchovy swam into me, repeatedly. I cupped my hands and it hid there.

I picked it up and admired it in the sunlight, then thought, I can't offer you anymore shelter - and released it.

that seemed highly allegoric to me.

Heaps of life out there today for sure

I thought he was going to look it in its blinking eye and then drive a hook up its clacker and go fishing.

So my trip away to the place I shall not name (hi Steve), didn’t surf once.
The back beach was 1-2ft and slow and the back back beach that requires a long walk was 2ft but not very good.

Could see the swell traveling on by on the horizon. Must have some west in it.

Came home and surfed with 4ft on the bomb sets.

need some E in the swell for it.

Yeh I actually used to surf there a fair bit.
Hard to tell on the point's sand.

This is my first winter surf experience for about 10 years and the water temperature is more or less OK, in fact its more like the north coast of NSW than Sydney. Current Perth water temp is 20.4, Sydney 17.4 and Byron 20.5. Ulus is 27

Most it ever gets here (summer and autumn) is about 18
