Checked port on the way through. The beach was suffering the same shiftiness as the farm. The reef had some, but not really lining up properly, plus the rock at the first section. You’d have got waves out there, but probably less of them and worked harder for it.

Voodoo would’ve been the pick yesterday. But if you don’t mind the circus that goes with it.

The island was a circus today. Some good waves but holy fcuk what a shit fight. Seems like nobody works anymore. Monday’s are Sundays.

Got one good wave out at Tama this arvo.....but it was pretty good.

ho ho fcuken ho, Sunset was smoking today, clean new swell 6-8', light offshore trades, and about 10 guys out, half of whom could not surf very well at all.

I rode some splendid waves and also got fully caught inside by an 8' plus set and just hammered! awesome

One wave stands out, a broad line from the west that drew up and squared off into a solid thick 8' plus thing right in the middle of the reef, I paddled into it from a bit too deep and it shifted to meet me, got in clean and pulled off the base into a full on deep stand up barrel, went a long way with the wave getting smaller and smaller, I went high at the end trying to sneak out but the thing clamshelled on me.

I said I'd get some waves for everyone, anybody want that one?

What’s the Hawaiian equivalent of Collaroy Point?

Glassy chest-high NE peaks for the early with no one, I repeat, no one out at the south end of my go to dawn spot. Was only a handful at the Northern end too. Sometimes the NB’s can be weird like that.

Given the toxic air quality I'm not surprised.

Avalon (south of Perth). Glassy conditions, gentle offshore, blazing sunshine, very erratic knee to waist high. Just four of us, 2 sups and a 10' mal, me on the 6'10 Wombat.

Got a few waves, but within half an hour there were about 10 sups and 10 mals. Happy, friendly, crew, everyone laughing and joking. But no more waves for me on a 6'10.

Chuns reef. It's all time. Super super crowded and never over 4'.

Hmmmm. Now there's two somewhat contrasting surf experiences.

Nick, why were there so few out and where were all the good surfers?
