which is OK, because they have been banned from the point and it's accepted to tell them to fcuk off back to x
I’ve seen this happen.
As soon as he got out a guy went full aggro at him.
The SUPper went white in the face and paddle of shame back to the boat channel.

I had a dry hair (keep the ear dry) longboard down at arrawarra on the weekend. Female SUP taking turns, even less than her share actually.
Yet a woman basher goes unhindered.

Well I wasn't there for that one, but Steve said he was out the back and completely unaware as it was down the inside.

Talking about since the assualt, so all the local enforcers are big brave men getting full aggro at harmless ol kooks on sups yet don't say anything to a cnut who assaults women and returns to the scene of the crime to surf his mat unhindered.

I really can’t make a call on that as I rarely surf there and when I do it’s uncrowded so every one is generally getting along.

I've chatted to a bunch of Irish or Poms who are mostly beginners. One bloke said, "I just bought this board yesterday." "What is it?", I asked. "A JS Blak Box". He'd been surfing for 6 months. Tell you what, though, for 6 months, he went okay. One was from Bondi. I reckon there's a bunch driving down to escape the Eastern Suburbs beaches. I prefer them to the cranky old entitled Aussie blokes.
Stop crawling up Loofys arse, AJ.

Yesterday was still pumping, perfect conditions, occasional near double overhead, got two of them. Late afternoons are magic.

This is nearly 3 weeks of great surf now.

Cranked, in a future world where climate change became the dominant issue would you be prepared to sacrifice your multiple OS surfing trips for the good of future generations?

Hmmmm.

I could sort of sidestep the issue by moving to the Bukit, but the real issue is not a moral one rather that travel by plane has a significant carbon footprint so what can be done to reduce that carbon footprint?

Fuel is already a huge cost so we can be pretty sure that the recent air fleet is as efficient as they can get it, although so far each generation of planes has been significantly more fuel efficient and this has been a major consideration for fleet upgrades.

So I guess we're back to reducing journeys. I could do this by doing one 6 month trip instead of 6 one month trips.

So the answer is that I can significantly reduce my carbon footprint on this issue by modifying my behaviour. That seems good enough to me.

I think it is well on it's way to becoming the dominant issue. Funny, at my son's school there was a day where kids could recite poetry (in a 'slam' style) and there were about 5 really depressing, we're fcuked and it is all your (the parents' generation) fault. What are you doing about it, and so on.

Pretty hard to take from entitled rich white kids in Scarborough who go on multiple trips OS and have big fcuk off houses and heaps of cash, cars and iPads.

I got it, but it felt a bit off.

You can, or you will?

But the planes are going to fly anyway, aren't they?
It's not like you're flying over in your private jet, is it Cranked?

Yeah, that argument is bullshit.

I don't think so, entirely, I agree you have an arguable point but, my point is Cranked isn't doing anywhere near the carbon blotch a private jet would . So he needn't feel too guilty.

Exactly, I've given up my private jet, surely that's enough?

What I'm thinking though, is that we should have individual carbon credit schemes that enable offsets.

Like if you do things such as install solar panels you get credits. We could even have the whole retail system hooked in so each purchase would contribute plus or minus points to your overall carbon footprint balance.

This is gonna be big, I can just sense it.
