Banks turned up just as I was finishing that last post and we're still jawboning

I got to the carpark and it had started gusting 35kt and so much rain I couldn't see the water during squalls. And the waves sucked. I bailed.

I had a lotta fun yesterday surfing with all the N+ grommets, there's a seething lil pack of them. Some buddy of mine was on the beach, just coming out, and yelled at me so I yelled back, like "Aaarghh!" All the grommets were looking at me, all about to burst out laughing. I said to them "You should always yell as much as possible." So they just started yelling like lunatics! The lineup was in chaos.

A foolish man came out surfing at the Peak last week, a large man with a huge fat head, he tried to nudge his way into a spot and made a bit of a fool of himself in the process. Later, on the inside, he actually lifted a fist in a threatening manner toward one of the grommets. Can you fcuking imagine? I wasn't out but one of my scary friends was, he paddled to the fat headed man and said, Here I am, why don't you punch someone your own size. The fat headed man did not take up the offer.

Perfect conditions, the swell has filled in, consistent double with triple overhead sets, 6 at the bommie, 2 at the peak and 10 at the corner.

Like why would anyone, a full adult, threaten to punch a 13 year old kid in the surf.

Just had a fun surf at DY. DY on a Saturday. Haven’t done that in ages. Waited for the tide to start dropping, the wind went a bit around to the North, so it didn’t look as pretty and clean as this morning. Crowd just disappeared. Still plenty of waves.

Shocker today. Picked all the wrong waves, catch a few close outs, head up the beach to where it looked better and then good ones came through where I had just been. Rinse and repeat.

Ah, how times have changed. Obviously these days grommets aren't cheeky little shits who are routinely persecuted by all older surfers as a matter of course. This is why the Brazzos are winning.

unacceptable. but you know, pressures of modern life. up to his balls in it, fewer surf opportunities, have a chat with him some time, "u ok mate?"
