Howling, horrid freezing wind taking the tops off it down here, managed to get a couple of fun ones but it was pretty hard work. My new Needs 4/3 didn't feel too warm, that's for sure.

My Needs L/S spring was perfect but I've realised my old Quik 3/2 chest zip (coldest wetsuit ever made) is not fit for another winter.

4-5 foot Wanda. Lot of shutdowns, as always with a straight south swell, but still some freight train walls allowing a top to bottom sprint before kicking out.

I got a wave this morning, first time in a long, long time.......from out the back to down past the hut.
A very strange feeling: burning thighs.
Glad I've been smashing the goblet squats and kettlebells.

Kettlebells are great. Good for straight legged deadlifts

good for surfing.
hip hinge, posterior chain strength = power surfing.
Great for conditioning too.

I've upped my overall training volume using greasing the groove and am feeling heaps better for it.
