Chunky beach break on the Gold Coast this morning
Shifting around with plenty of close outs and energy
The CV2 gets in so quickly and handles the sucky take off well for a board with a relatively flat rocker

Look, OK, cards on the table. I fcuked my father up the arse. It was in the car immediately following my mother's funeral and on the way to the wake.

Can anyone share some advice on Eden/Pambula for me. Heading there in a couple of weeks and was hoping to get a few waves in.

There's a spot at Merimbula Otway talks about.

The bar is a good mal wave mostly unless you luck into a good swell.
Hunt around all the more exposed national parks to the north and south in smaller swells. Plenty of beachies and sandy reefs.
Another reasonably well known point break in one of them that also likes a solid swell.

Caught a few this morning for a change. Just enough swell for one of the better banks to look like working. Crowded.

Loving this sea mist on the northern beaches in recent mornings.
It rubs the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again

This.

There’s also beachies at Eden (bank dependent of course) and Pambula Rivermouth in a decent swell.

Afternoon dip.....went home and grabbed the board. Snared a few more in the crowds before BBQ dinner. Swell seems on the rise.

Possibly speaking of hydrofoils
Down on the beach Boxing Day chatting to Ryan Hipwood and family- soon after he paddles out a HPSB with a huge foil on it He just flew in pretty junky weak stuff
Wifey says why don’t you try that it looks fun? :D

Yes, hydrofoils. Was zonked on endone and red wine due to ankle injury and practicing shit faced phonetics.

Ryan Hipwood a no talent bum. Anyone can ride those contraptions. Or so his wife says. Lol.

29 degrees at 8:30 today. Went for a desperate paddle at high tide. Pretty lame but no way I'm going out around mid day.

Staying out of the sun is wise. There are still quite a few people in steamers at my local.
