There was actually a sweet little bank at mid tide that was relatively uncrowded. Nothing special but fun till it got too many punters on the case. Blown out today.

Margaret River forecast for today: swell 23' at 16s, 25,000 kJ

The Ulus swell last year was 17,000kJ, so around 50% more powerful

From swellnet this morning.

“Firstly, the crowds. Oh yes they're in and they're brutal. Drop ins, near collisions, if you can't surf competently don't paddle out as you'll get in the way or end up getting hurt. The surf is looking good with 3ft sets, though a touch inconsistent at times. Calm winds and a dropping tide from mid-late morning.”

Great. Now I'm imagining BA's majestic snow-capped erection, upon which scores of brave men have perished

Super fun in the water this morning. 3 foot, glassy and so many good sand banks.

It's a fcukng mess here.
First proper E swell of Autumn and it's being arse-raped by a 20 knot straight E'ly onshore.

This has been a very, very long stretch of poor surf.

If you can cope with the sea of human flotsam, there are some fun waves in the bay, Steve.

Just thinking about driving in there is making me break out in hives.
