Far out the banks are non existent round my way at the moment.
Eh? The north end was crowded on the late yesterday and there were waves.

Plenty of waves yesterday just the banks are shit, at least they have been the last 4 times I have been surfing.

We need a bit of swell to dig out some sand. Epically bad banks at the moment.....except for a nice little bit of sand way out off Bronte with the right swell.

Managed to hit the local reef just as the wind picked up and the tide got too high.

Some fun waves around if you can stay protected from the wind

Crazy fun wedges this arvo, wind went wacky and actually shifted SW for a while. Waves flying around everywhere

Greenmount through to Kirra. Greeny was off the chain and no fucking jet skis.

Shut up, Jimmy.....no, good on you. I've been looking at the footage of there....and Noosa...and I reckon it's so Fcuking crowded I would give it a miss. You would have to be young and hungry or you would be wasting your time. Just the Noosa footage looked like there was at least three collisions with someone paddling out let alone the Superbank. Looks great though.

Yep lots of people but a lot of driftwood who got no waves. I got dropped in on once and the guy apologised because he didn’t think I’d make the section. Despite the crowds you can get heaps of waves on a swell like this. I must say too that whilst the skis were out in force they weren’t as bad as I’ve seen in previous swells which were much smaller.
Apparently the ski riders are gonna get fined. Not too sure that Mick, Joel or the Mad Fucking Huey’s are gonna be to bothered by a $200 fine.

Trev, you’ve been quiet considering your local has been going off it’s tits the last few days. What’s happening?

Not as bad as usual, Duck. Think it’s because the swell is more e/ne in origin.

Some of the Kirra footage looked great. but pre 2001 it seemed flawless. Now it seems there are sections where it can close out. Must be less (or too much) sand now or it’s stacked on a different angle?

I didn't surf anywhere, and it was the first decent swell in years where I haven't even considered driving down to the coast.
I realised, as I was checking the snow report for a place I won't visit for probably 5 years, that I've given up even the pretence of being a surfer.
Realistically, I'm a snowboarder who sometimes surfs, at a much lower level.

Bout time Boo, nothing worse then a kook with ideas above his station.

Far out, I saw some footage of Kirra or one of the points up there and there was about 20 jet skis circling around. At first a couple people had em as an advantage... be a 100 of them put there soon.

Way more sand these days. Used to hug the point running down to the second groin.
