Couple of waves at Bendy today, an early and a late. Was slow and busy in the morning but the swell kicked to overhead on the sets. Water pretty cold. Some long rights if you got lucky. Checked it in the arvo and it glassed off, no one out. Even better. Bumped young Sean Mawson on the track who was heading out and we had it to ourselves for an hour or so till a couple of guys paddled out and a light southerly ruffled things up a bit. Swell had kicked slightly so there was a bit of punch. Long waits but a
few nice waves.

Decided to take the foamy out at lunch. Crazy backwash. I caught a couple back out that seemed to go faster than the regular waves coming in. Plenty of thrills and spills when the backwash hit. Kicked the back fin out and cut my foot when I got hit.
Swell picked up in the arvo. Got a couple of okay ones. Too big for the banks really.

Well, had to have two surfs to celebrate being 62.

Manly, small with the SW wind, worth the effort

Last few days has seen an ever dropping swell but with perfect conditions. At first light I got a few good uncrowded (no-one else for the first hour) sessions with infrequent waist to chest high waves.

Yesterday evening there was no-one out from temples to the race track!

South facing reef at a fun sized 3-4 foot. The rights had more bowl to carve up but still the occasional racetrack left that would drain off the ledge and throw square on take off.

I drove around in a state of indecision until the wind came up

Not really a swell for the coal coast today is it. Too souf, too long period

Yep pretty much. There were good sets around but very inconsistent

4ft offshore shallow bank close outs. Kinda fun.

Manly (again) with the NE and high tide combo - better than it looked. Avoided the Surfaid Cup up at Queenscliff.

Newport. Bit straight but clean and pretty consistent.

Managed a paddle yesterday. Not too crowded given it was Sunday. Everyone must be away. Junky chop with lots of Purple People Eaters in the water. One decent left and a few dubious rights. Fairly stoked since I haven't been in much lately.
