Re: Where did you surf today ?
Some days it isn't just the size.
Maybe it's just 'coz I'm getting older but sometimes everything about my surfing from positioning to paddling, to pop ups, is just unco.
Today was one of those days.
I don't do crowds well, either.

You aren’t the room Yuke You are just a wonky cafe table with a missing rubber pad on the end of one leg.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Do burpees Trev but instead of jumping straight up, jump sideways.

Covert your garage to a full gymnasium. That will help

Just don’t surf the day after barbell squats. As your quads are caned and your take off won’t be as nimble, as I soon discovered today.
However. Give it three or so days after when you’ve recovered and the reverse happens. more explosive power from quads and backside if your diet resembles mine.

I agree Iggs.
I've had back pain for 20 years. Since I started deadlifting this year, all gone.
I just do the Pavel doctrine when a swell is on: lift heavy but not hard.
Actually I don't even lift heavy.

Watched two guys waiting to rock off at DY at dawn. One went and got absolutely reamed by a six wave set. Washed back to the shoreline. The next guy waited about 3 more minutes and got out with dry hair. Fun times.

When I started surfing Sandon I really noticed the guys did this kind of stalling take off. Not really a stall but jamming the back foot down as soon as they got up. Kind of stopped them from pearling I guess as they got down the face. Unusual but everyone did it.ajohnsen wrote: ↑Thu Aug 30, 2018 1:55 pmThat was like my first time out there, with you. Bpole, after you left the water at Sandon did you dance on the beach and do "the Stomp?" You're the guy playing the bongos at the end, right?
