Had a crack in the wind. Hard work, 5 foot or so, cleanup sets to deal with, rips and strong winds. A bit fun!

Same. Did a lot of paddling. Rips everywhere and typical NE sweep. The odd bluebottle as well.

Got a message from a mate on the Goldie, he paddled out at Greenmount and ended up down at Kirra. Apparently plenty of jet skis helping mates beat the sweep.

Wild and Woolly at Bronte. Tama looked bigger. Rip running south which is unusual. Caught a couple. Got one okay one through to the beach and called it a day.

Greenhills. Solid five foot. Walled up and freight training down the line. Surprised to see it holding up so well in the mix of long period swells. Super easy paddle out as it was inconsistent.

Surfed the 8’0 gun. Just to get reacquainted with it in case tomorrow does end up getting big. Felt great. High lining, climbing and dropping covering ground down the line. Got a couple of runs that were at least 100 metres.

I reckon a few people could get into trouble today, if you time the paddle out well, you could get out with dry hair. Still plenty of kooks on longboards able to get out then going backwards over the falls when the sets come. Carnage and collisions all over the place.

:-D-: I got out with dry hair. Easy to sit wide. They were still sending nippers out on paddle boards in the middle of where everyone was surfing. Even though the beach was closed. They got mowed down by a few sets before they decided to stay in shore.

Convalescing this weekend and currently unable to drive a car however, I'd probably risk it to watch that carnage. Might pop down.

Watching boardriders comp on Fox that is being held at Newcastle. Not bad.

Some nice big take offs out at a nearby deep water reef. Pretty slow, but fun as on the 7'6". Great board! Fast. Haven't used a pintail much and I like it.

Great end to the boardrider battle. Culburra BRC win after half the team needed to be called back after leaving Newcastle.
