The sand in WA is really fine, guessing around half or a third the size of the sand in Sydney. But I never surf beach breaks so can't comment any further

I can think of three adjacent beaches on the mid north coast that offer radically different wave setups, with three distinct sand types.

Haven't taken it back out there. It loves flatty though.

Most of the East Coast has been sand mined. Sydney sand colour is dependent on the type of eroded sandstone...red or yellow....plus ground down shells of course.

That's entirely expected.
The sand on each beach is a result of the recent wave climate, winnowing and energy dissipation.

Half decent waves this morning, best I've had for a long time

Nulla beachies. Chest to head high wind slush with a wackable section here and there.

Looked at Bronte. A bit protected but couldn't be arsed getting my board. Water was nice for a swim though.

I'm 3 surfs max a week now. So unfit over summer canning on etc..lots of "older" surfers mumbling the same things.

I'm actually feeling pretty fit at the moment. Just sick of riding rubbishy mish mash. It's so bad that I think I've only attempted two or three surfs at Bondi this summer and none this year. More surfing Tama and Bronte than I would do in a year usually. Even the Bra a few times. A week at Crescent around Xmas and some waves down at Uludulla have been best.
Got back into a bit of beach running, still do a bit on the Pilates machine and started pissing around with some light weights since my son bought a press. Just attempting to get stretchy with some yoga. This weekend however I've just had a nap and am going to kick back unless the surf miraculously turns on.

Just had a wave at the island. Light onshore e/s/e, bout 3ft with the odd bigger set. 4 of us out. Water is warm and an amazing colour, kind of blue like it gets in the Ments. Super clear and some big schools of salmon leaping out of the water like their life depended on it .

The odd inside runner but mostly wonky mush. Fair wait for the sets.

Guy I know was checking the eagle’s nest on the island a couple of days ago and spotted a web cam with a little solar panel set up, pointed straight at the main peak. It won’t be there long. Cheeky cnuts.

Vaseline on the lens works for a luddite, or throwing the whole shebang into the drink, that works too.

Well there's no shortage of rocks out there. Of course if it's put up by Parks and Wildlife to monitor seal or penguin movements you will be stuffed.
