Maroubra mid-north bank. Flawless walled up righthander running all the way to the beach. Surfed the 6'4 single. No snaps or vert reos etc. taking off just behind the peak into a high trimline then cutting down the face and back into the bowl as needed.

How good is it iggy, amazing waves for south swell.

Yep. Just the right amount of size and fetch in the south swell for the banks to cook. Not too small as to be a fat backwasher. Not too strong as to be a straighthander. All the planets are in line. Those two recent big swells moved some sand around for the better that's for sure.

More close outs. The swell is nice but the banks don't like the swell direction.

Lots of fun on the mid tide near the club house - great way to end the week.

did 3 backhand turns on one wave this morning. it may be a record for this winter.

true. i haven't turned three times on my backhand since last autumn.

Had a quick look again just before sunset. It'd picked up a foot but also straightened out quite a lot. If only it had just a few degrees of east in the swell then it would've been cooking.

Couple of nice waves in there

There were a lot of straight pocketless ones also. Swell needs to dial east a bit, even a fraction.
