Was looking at Newport before my sons game this morning. 6 foot close outs.

Haha drove home via the beaches as usual and didn't see much. This arvo is supposed to pick up though I think, going by the forecast. Warilla had something breaking in front of the clubhouse. Port had bugger all and blown to bits as you'd expect. Mm clean as and about waist high

Warilla did have a few - and it was strange because everywhere else is pretty flat. I had a couple at mystics and it was ok, but crowded. If it does get super big and heavy, i want to go and explore the marina breakwall.

This swell is really south. It was smashing into Clovelly Pool. Missing most of Coogee except the big outside break past the Southie. Southie itself wasn't really doing much. Big lefts outside though. Two guys paddled out while we watched but seemed to be off the peak by a long shot. Big wait btween sets. They had some serious rhino chasers. Howling SouWester and freezing.

Let's hit south Bra tonight mate. should be pumping by then. Anything less than 10ft+, we go to the Seals instead.

A certain Shellharbour reef was pumping but the line up looked like a human centipede so I gave that a miss. Ended up surfing a semi protected walling righthander breaking on a outer bar. Clean faces but a brutal amount of current and wind to contend with. Being jet lagged with less than an hour sleep didn't help either. Not big, but still well overhead. The bonzer felt immediately familiar. Nothing new to get my head around as its a variation of a single fin. Just draw your lines out, relax and let the board do the work.

fcuk that's a bit more like it. Proper swell. Must have been massive before light today, rocks and shit thrown around everywhere on the rock shelfs

spectacular off ben buckler just after sunrise. seems to be backing off a bit now and the shift to sou-east in the wind's making it roil.

Rare rivermouth lighting up today.

Family stuff happening today though managed a quick drive by of Coogee/Wedding Cake. WC was a 10-12 foot mushburger with one out. Southy was a soupy 6-8ft with about 3 out.
