Watching entitled, privileged pros being taxied up the point near me, while we're all in the rip doing it tough ... then they're straight back up the point for the next set. the sweep running so hard, you couldn't stay on the point in between sets, meant they got every wave they wanted, and we were back down the point hoping a pro surfer would fall off a perfect, flawless wave (hint: it never happens) so we'd get one.
Not to mention what they are doing is illegal. they come roaring through the lineup at speed and at times are within metres of paddling surfers.
there's a few out there that are way worse than the rest. There were a couple of photographers out there, who are shooting and staying clear of every one, then there's a whole plethora of f
uck knuckles doing outrageously selfish things.
it'll come to blows soon. a few paddling crew are already talking about f
ucking up a certain crew of pros next time they're seen in the carpark.

Cut to vid... bog standard step off, in a 6 foot hollow pipe behind the rock. Not really impressive, surprised that even gets promoted.

i nearly did. I had 3 boards in it, my single pintail, modern twin and my semi pro... but when it was knee high up here, i didn't think it'd be worth the effort.
turns out it was three foot to the south. garghhh

Finally got wet today after not surfing for two weeks. Fcuking crowded as. Got one left that got the quad going through a few turns. That felt good. Boardriders comp didn't help much. The full range of flotsam and Jetsam.

I promised, honestly, that I wouldn't go to Collaroy. But with the bommie not working and LR crowded as I ended up there again. Must try harder

Well definitely jetsam since I bailed asap. A few hard core hasslers as well....plus there were a few reunions going on out there....As well as ample ignorance....banks aren't bad though after the last swell. Tama looked good but too crowded.
I have to say I rate Collaroy as way worse to surf than Bondi.

3 foot washy right hand peaks out at the dunny bowl with a few lefts breaking a bit wider. Water temp is warm as toast.
