Hey little buddy. You're number is up. It's time you posted a photo of your penis.

As your personal artistic coordinator, allow me to suggest; tastefully planted in the middle of a hotdog bun with tom sauce and american mustard and decorated with some fried onions would be a real winner.

this thread eagerly awaits.

I've never been in Oz because of a lack of time and because it is a low probability poor value (for money) proposition.
I've done most of my riding by working for a season or tacked onto family holidays where I was already in the region so the travel cost was minimal. In my case it isn't elitism, just rationality.

And as a fairly experienced and capable boarder, I agree with Legion. On technical terrain he'd leave me for dead. There are physiological advantages to being symmetrical and forward facing. It's not elitism, it is science.

If I get the chance to spend a decent chunk of time on snow again I'm going to learn to ski.

And I realise you like the park and pipe, but then the valid comparison is with skating. The skill is in the air not on the snow.
mate I wasn't having a go at you, so don't take it personally. I didn't even know you hadnt been to aussie snow!. legion likes to bag snowboarding like its riding a toboggan. sure high end skiers leave the top tier boarders for dead, but both have different skill sets and mostly respect what each other does. and just like snowboarding has borrowed heavily from skating and surfing, so to has skiing from snowboarding.
there is still skill involved riding park and pipe, sure its in the air but..... I see kids all the time in the park that cant Ollie, cant ride switch, cant press and try to do spins off a flat base. and they don't improve, and in some cases get really hurt. they are trying to run when they cant even walk properly! most guys just wont put time in to ride switch cause its like starting over again to a degree and at 100+ bucks a day who wants to do that??! things like learning to Ollie and pressing can be learnt pretty quickly just riding around the mountain.

anyway have you seen this clip? best POV footage ever. carroll time to step up and post some footy like this!

It was waist high to me this morning so I suppose about a foot of powder?

I thought I was ripping this morning, doing this tree run in all the fresh snow. I cannot imagine some of the lurid prose that's been lavished on the powder experience -- it is surreal and delicious for sure but sorry, surfing kicks its arse. Anyway, several runs of floating almost elegantly through the trees and doing all this pseudo Warren Miller shit (without the 80s one piece ski suit, sadly), and sure enough I caught one ski on a little twig under the snow and was stuck, one ski off, on a slope, in three feet of powder snow. And a fairly long walk back out to a run. I guess this is Karma for surfing Sunset without a leggie.

I agree with everything you say Brendo but that, like just about all POV footy except the one from deep in the tube, was boring to watch.

Anyway, come on Carroll, get your son to get a clip of you in the trees, we need some light amusement in amongst all this envy.
