Not 100% sure. As I said the skill level seemed below par for this spot. Maybe the older blokes are losing their skills so are replacing it with aggression to try and keep the wave count up. Lots of aggressive positioning and frantic paddling but failure to make the drop, blowing waves etc.

I didn't see you out at Bondi, BA. Fair description of my general style though. Bit of fun this morning. I was quite happy with my surfing in the mush and only did one mega kook out on one take off.

I occasionally look around on crowded frustrating days and realise everyone in the water is at least twenty years younger than me. Nearly the same demographic today with a few more oldies but plenty of waves.

Been surfing Kirra a lot lately on a twinny.
Really suits it at 2-4ft to get that effortless drive to make fast sections that I’d have trouble on a regular shorty.
The good surfers do well on anything out there though.

Heading to Merimbula all of next week, are these reported east coast swells going to make it down that way?
Was thinking of checking out saltwater too.

lol east swells will be the least of your worries led tool, it's the south swells you'll need to concern yourself with

Yeah I understand that the main spots around need south swells. But the south’s down here have been shit for so long I was hoping something would make its way down.

Just surfed bumpy overhead light onshore wedgey point surf with Tom Carroll and fulfilled a lifelong dream by dropping in on Tom.

no, I thought Tommy was here for the WSL comp announcement at Lennox and wanted to let him know local feelings on the matter.
he said he was here just to surf.

not an intentional drop in.

I only found out later he was on the same wave.
