Poor Ringer. But you'd have heaps of other things to do down there with that "quality" lifestyle and all right pal? Just outta interest what do you do when there's no surf down there on the lonely west coast of Vicco? Fish? Dirt bikes? Blow up sheep? ( I don't mean with explosives).Ringmaster wrote:2- 3 foot shithouse, onshore Jan Juc about an hour ago...............which is pretty well what it's been for the last 3 weeks here

Surfed Wanda today... crowded, with mal comp to boot on the same bank, but shifty enough to ensure a wave or three. Pity it was blowing onshore... at 7am
Surfed elouera yesterday, much nicer. Less bodies in the water, offshore but tide a wee bit too high- and the shark alarm, of course...

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Me too (made a rare excursion back to my homeland). Saw the bank with the mal comp, so looked up to the next one - and lo and behold there's a bodyboard comp on it So headed further up to greenhills. Small and floppy but still a lot of fun on the mal. Good to see the gym workouts are having their intended effect on my paddling strength.bookster wrote:Surfed Wanda today... crowded, with mal comp to boot on the same bank, but shifty enough to ensure a wave or three. Re: Where did you surf today ?
Had a wee surf at with Lucky Al at Austinmer on Saturday morning; bit small and tide and a bit high but we had a bank to ourselves.
Surfed the Wanda Superbank on Saturday arvo; really good, 3 feet but 50 fellas out. Managed to jag a couple of sets though...
Yesterday arvo I surfed a bank just down from the Wanda Superbank cos I couldn't face the crowds; 2 feet and fat. At least it wasn't crowded.
And that low that's forecast to grow in the Southern Ocean this week....I've been mindsurfing that bastard for a few days.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Also surfed the overcrowded Wanda superbank on Sat arvo on my brand new board-buggered if I was going to mix it with the 50 others so tried sitting out a bit further with limited success.Checked it again yesterday lunchtime and looked like a similar crowd but half the size so drove to Stanwell which was flat so went for a swim instead.

Surfed 1-2ft slop. First time back in the water since surgery on my wrist and seemed to be alright. Only struggled duck diving when putting alot of pressure on it.
